I adore movies like this and have watched thousands of them over the decades (I'm 69). Most of them are martial arts/wuxia genre with subtexts of great spiritual/folkloric/mythic value enhancing the action/narrative.
Best websites to stream (many different genres and you will need to search for the type of film you want):
This is a crazy synchronicity, Frances. I've been playing (working isn't really apt) with Amy Rosebush's AI art and Tonika's video skills on an episode called OMGdess, challenging our assumption that the Messiah or the Buddha will come back as a male. My favorites of the glorious images Amy's produced for this are the Buddhess, with long ear lobes and beaming serenity. I wish I could attach it here to show you. Your article is perfectly timed!
I have been a student of Buddhism for a number of years & I still haven't gotten to know Avalokiteshvara in her different aspects very well, as improbable as that may seem. My study of mythology / folklore / legend ( s ) has found renewed passion since taking up digital art.
The spiritual entity has reincarnated as both male and female at different times, apparently. The film is about one brief incarnation but the legend is that there have been thousands of incarnations, hence the huge number of arms bearing implements of skills and talents. It is a fascinating concept that I find very hopeful.
The whole dualities aspect intrigues me. I did a piece depicting Sekhmet with Athena, they seem ALMOST like polar opposites but with at least one thread uniting different halves. I think that I could do some deep dives and find a lot more under the surface. I've looked at the " Shekina " aspect of the Judeo - Christian god as well. Stuff that the Southern Baptists didn't want people to look at.😉
I MIGHT be overdue for such a thing. I've kept in touch with a lady who could best be described as a spiritist medium near my hometown who could still do such a thing.
Fangks for dis! I will have to watch in two parts, but dat's coolio iglesias. ;)
Multifaceted as gods may be, and as Guan Yin she has never been more needed now- representing the goddess of suffering and compassion.
Also as Avalokitesvara reminds me of the goddess Kali.
I had not seen this film, thank you.🙏

When will we get to see this production?

I was regressed to previous lives and discovered that I had been a man every time before this life.
