That particular recording from the Hammersmith Odeon gig in 1975 was unsurpassed by later renditions I heard. Nothing could compare with Bruce Springsteen's first visit to London. It was an electric occasion, burned into my memory, and it spoke of street life in New York but resonated with all city kids who heard it.
We were entranced and nicknamed him Loose Springboard. A nickname, among my friends and I, was a great honour to bestow.
We played his album on battered old record players late into the night, until the neighbours called the police on us!
I can so relate to your experience, I am not far behind you as the generation who so appreciated this music, hanging out together and listening to the records, feeling validated by the musicians and their lyrics. I do remember those high school days.. when groups of us would sit around listening to the music, discuss the meanings, dancing, singing along... and yes that late night knock on the door...LOL scrambling to hide the paraphernalia that was so much a part of the enjoyment of the experience.
lol - it was certainly not a quickie. It was the night I lost my virginity to my husband-to-be. We were very much in love. We were married for 12 years.
😊
Is it me or its getting HOT in here❤️🔥 lol

That's one fantastic way to describe these things!
I do LOVE Jungleland!

That has happened to me many times!! Glitchy, maybe, unless you also are a rowdy rebel dog... ;)
even if it was ...sounds like it hit the spot!
profoundly erotic and nostalgic poetry! If only life offered such passion and pleasure to all people! Well, written (lived), FL! Wish I knew you!
