$1400? It is a pooch not a designer handbag! ffs! When I think about the money people charge for living beings it boils my piss, it really does. Buying a living thing is like buying a slave. Oh scuse me, I am so Neanderthal when it comes to this subject.
I had to buy Ben out of jail (£250) and I paid £15 for Pearlie but Rasta was mine before he was even created. I earned him by caring for his mum. When I was in Spain, the Guardia Civil told me that they were paying several thousands per pup for Groenendahls. Rasta fathered 55 pups in his lifetime and most of them went into military or police training because the authorities can afford to pay so much more than normal people.
I must remember to put the story of Rasta’s Spanish son, Hijo in the next chapter.
The woman selling the dogs said this was how she made sure the dog went to a good home, or something along those lines. Well, that sentiment makes sense to me, but 1400 bucks is overkill! Then she'd only get people that have MONEY, not necessarily integrity! No, it's just the capitalist earworm. I simply can't afford that. I'm going to look at rescue dogs.
I just LOVE this story, or... your LIFE. ;)
And I love the way you tell it.
I was almost in Dogtown, but she wanted $1400 for the pup!! Bummer, but I know I'll find my Bingo sooner or later. ^_^
Starting to get cold here, and rainy... like Washington SHOULD be doing, lol.
Okay, gism me for a sweet lil pup! (I think the pup I was talking about was TOO YOUNG, anyway.)
xo xo
